Window glass replacement
A fogged, cracked or broken window usually doesn't need a new window. It needs new glass. We build the insulated unit (IG) to your exact size in our shop, then our own crew swaps it into the frame you already have. Wood, vinyl, aluminum or steel sash; single lites, double-hung, casements, picture windows and patio doors.
- Fogged or failed seals: the cloudy window that never clears
- Cracked or broken lites: boarded up today, glass in about a week
- Upgrades in the same frame: Low-E, tempered, laminated, obscure for a bathroom
- Measured and installed by us: free measure, written price, no subcontractor
Birds keep hitting that window? Fix it in the same visit.
If you're replacing the glass anyway, we can etch a permanent Flyway™ bird-safe pattern into the outside face of the new unit before it leaves the shop. It's the same product the American Bird Conservancy approved for commercial buildings in August 2026. Five approved patterns, in fine dots or lines, so there's one that suits your house. Birds see it from the first day; you stop noticing it after about a week.
- Permanent: etched into the glass, nothing to peel, fade or reapply
- Five ABC-approved patterns: dots or lines at 2″ or 4″ spacing
- Doesn't touch the Low-E: the etch sits on the outside face, coatings sit behind it
- Any window, not just the problem one: picture windows, patio doors, a whole elevation
Already have good glass? In some cases we can etch a pattern into the existing lite instead. Ask, and we'll tell you which way makes more sense.
And three rooms people don't think to call a glass company about
Same shop, same measure crew. If it's glass and it has to fit something you already built, ask.

Sport courts & home gyms
Frameless glass walls and doors that let you see the court from the rest of the basement, in tempered glass sized to the opening your framer left.

What happens after you call
Call or send the form
Tell us the room and roughly what you're after. A photo from your phone helps more than you'd think.
We measure, free
We come to the house, measure the real opening, and talk through options standing in the actual space.
Written estimate
A price in writing before anything is ordered or cut, itemized so you can see what drives it.
Fabricate & install
Usually one to two weeks. Our own crew installs, cleans up, and takes the old glass away.
The people who measure it are the people who make it
A lot of glass companies take the order and send the work somewhere else. We cut, etch, paint and install out of our own building on 145th Street. That is why we can take the awkward wall, the arched opening and the shower that isn't square.
- 28+ years of glass work in the south metro
- Our own install crew, not subcontracted
- Free measure and free written estimate
- Agalite lifetime warranty on semi-frameless enclosures
- We'll tell you when the cheaper option is the right one

Before you call
Do you charge for in-home estimates?
No. The in-home measure and the written estimate are both free, anywhere in our metro service area.
How much does a custom shower enclosure cost?
It depends on enclosure type, glass thickness, size, hardware finish and any glass treatment. Semi-frameless is the more economical choice and heavy frameless glass is the premium option. The measure and estimate cost nothing, so the fastest way to a number is to let us look at the opening. Compare the three styles first →
Do I need to finish tiling before you measure?
Yes, and it matters more than people expect. Glass is cut to the finished opening, including whatever your walls are doing out of plumb. Measuring before tile is done means the glass won't fit. Tile complete and cured, then call us.
Can you replace just the glass in something I already have?
Often, yes. Semi-frameless showers with sound hardware are the easiest, along with tabletops and shelves. Send a photo of the piece and the damage and we'll tell you whether it's a swap or a replacement.
My window is fogged between the panes. Do I need a whole new window?
Usually not. Fog between the panes means the seal on the insulated unit has failed; the frame is generally fine. We measure the sash, build a new sealed unit in our shop to the same size, and install it in your existing frame. It's a fraction of the cost of a replacement window and the trim never comes off the wall.
Birds keep hitting my window. Can you help?
Yes. If the glass is being replaced anyway, we etch a permanent Flyway™ bird-safe pattern into the outside face of the new unit, in any of the five patterns the American Bird Conservancy approved in August 2026. If the glass is sound, ask us; in some cases we can etch the existing lite instead.
How do I keep shower glass from spotting?
Squeegee after each use. Unglamorous, but in hard water it's most of the battle. A protective coating applied at fabrication makes what does build up far easier to wipe off, and it's much cheaper to add up front than to retrofit. Ask at the estimate.
