Fabrication services

Back-painting, etching, printing and bonding: the processes that turn a sheet of glass into a component. All of it under one roof on 145th Street, which is why the awkward pieces end up here.

Back-painted glass

Our longest-running specialty. Color-matched paint applied to the back of the glass, so the color reads through a polished surface that cleans like a window and never needs refinishing.

Glass-top coffee table

Table tops

A chic, modern look with real durability for office environments. Color matched, sized to your drawing, with electrical outlet cutouts and a polished or etched matte surface.

Glass markerboard in an office

Marker boards

They do not ghost like other white boards, and they wipe fully clean years in. Custom size, color, etched surface, magnetic backing and accessories.

Blue back-painted glass wall panels in a building lobby

Wall panels

Floor-to-ceiling panels down to kitchen backsplashes. Easy to clean and antimicrobial, which is why they keep showing up in healthcare and food service.

Why don't glass marker boards ghost?

Because glass is non-porous. Dry erase ink sits on the surface instead of soaking into it the way it does on melamine or painted board. Nothing penetrates, so nothing stains. A glass board that's been in a conference room for a decade still erases like it did on day one.

Color matching note. For whites and pale colors, specify low-iron glass. Standard float carries a green cast that will shift a true white toward mint no matter how well the paint is matched. We'll flag it if we see it on your order, but it's cheaper to catch at quote.

Care guides and warranty documentation are provided with every painted glass order.

Etching, film graphics & digital printing

Branding, pattern and privacy applied to glass: abraded into the surface, printed on, or applied as film.

  • Etching: permanent, abraded into the glass, nothing to peel
  • Privacy panels: shower, partition and door glass
  • Applied film graphics: logos, patterns, privacy banding, frosted vinyl
  • Digital printing: full-color imagery and gradients on glass

Etched glass or applied film: which should I use?

Etching abrades the pattern into the glass itself: nothing to peel, fade or delaminate, and it cleans with ordinary glass cleaner. It will outlast the building. Film is a vinyl layer adhered to the surface: cheaper, and changeable later if branding moves, but it has a finite service life. Permanent architectural intent, etch it. Tenant branding that may change, film it.

The same in-house capability produces our bird-safe glass. Five Flyway™ patterns earned American Bird Conservancy approval in August 2026.

Bonded glass assemblies

Bonded glass display case

Structurally bonded glass boxes, cubes, vitrines and display assemblies. These are the pieces where the joint has to disappear and the tolerance has to hold across an entire set, not just the sample.

  • UV-bonded and structurally bonded corners
  • Retail vitrines, plinths and display cases
  • Low-iron glass for true clarity on thick sections
  • Repeatable across a production run
  • Crated and shipped nationally

Building a fixture program and need a glass partner who can hold tolerance across a rollout? That's the OEM conversation.

Back-painted bent glass

Custom white low-iron glass, back-painted and curved, with flat panels finished to match, produced for Empirehouse. Two processes that fight each other, on the one substrate that shows every flaw. If you've been told a piece can't be made, send it here before you redesign around it.

Fabrication FAQ

Common questions

Can you color match back-painted glass?

Yes, to a supplied chip, a paint code or a sample. Specify low-iron glass for whites and light colors so the green cast of standard float doesn't shift your color.

Is back-painted glass antimicrobial?

Glass is non-porous and cleans completely, which makes back-painted panels a practical antimicrobial surface for kitchens, healthcare and food service. No grout, no seam, nothing for anything to live in.

What's your minimum order?

There isn't a hard one. We'll do a single piece or a production run, and pricing reflects the difference. Send the cut list.

Can I supply my own glass?

Yes. Ship us your glass for painting, etching or bonding, or we'll supply it as part of the order.

Do you provide care and warranty documentation?

Yes, with every painted glass order. Ask if you need it in advance for a submittal.

Send us the part that keeps coming back as a no.
