Bidding

What we need to price it

Send what you have. If something on this list is missing we'll ask rather than guess and pad the number.

  • Drawings or elevations with glazed openings identified
  • The glazing specification section
  • Glass makeup: substrate, tint, coating, monolithic or IG
  • Opening sizes and quantities, or a takeoff
  • Bid date and glass-on-site date
  • Whether the space is occupied during construction
  • If bird-friendly: the governing requirement, and whether IGCC certification is required on the IG unit
What you get back

What comes back with the number

  • A written price against the scope as drawn
  • A schedule commitment we intend to hold, not a hope
  • Constructability flags: where the detail won't build the way it's drawn, you hear it during bid rather than during submittals
  • Alternates where they save money without gutting the design intent
We'd rather lose a bid than win it on a scope we know is wrong. If the drawings and the spec disagree, we'll tell you which one we priced and why.
New capability · August 2026

Bird-safe glazing without the bird-safe lead time.

If the project is state-funded under B3, chasing LEED Pilot Credit 55, or has an owner who cares, you need bird-friendly glass. Most of it gets ordered from a distant fabricator and then waits. We etch it ourselves in Burnsville, in five ABC-approved patterns at Threat Factors™ of 20 and 25.

20Threat Factor
25Threat Factor

ABC bird-friendly threshold: 30 or lower.

Why contractors call back

We're a fabricator, not a broker

Cutting, back-painting, etching, bonding and field installation all run through our own building. Nothing gets handed to a third party you can't reach and we can't schedule.

  • 28+ years in commercial glass
  • Our own installation crews, start to finish
  • Odd shapes, tight tolerances and bent glass welcome
  • One point of contact from bid through punch list
  • Bird-friendly glazing etched in-house

GC FAQ

What GCs ask us

Do you self-perform installation?

Yes. Our own crews install; we don't sub the field work out. That's the main reason we can commit to a date and hold it, and the main reason we can fix something the same week when a schedule moves.

Can you work after hours in an occupied space?

Routinely. After-hours and weekend work is normal for retail and office TI where the space trades during the day. Flag it at bid time so it's priced properly instead of bolted on as a change order.

Can you supply bird-friendly glazing?

Yes. Flyway™ is our ABC-approved surface-1 permanent etch, in five patterns at Threat Factors™ of 20 and 25, on any vision or tinted glass with the coatings sitting behind the etch. One thing to line up at bid: we supply the insulating unit through an IGCC-certified partner where the project requires certification, or build it in-house to any configuration you want. Tell us which the spec calls for and we'll route it.

How far do you travel?

The Twin Cities metro is home ground from Burnsville. We go further for the right project, so ask.

Do you do emergency replacement?

Yes, board-up and replacement for commercial storefront. Call 952-224-9030 during business hours.

Send us the drawings.

A number, a schedule, and any detail we think is going to give you trouble.
