The glass sub that shows up when tile is done
You have enough trades to chase. Glass should be the one that measures on time, holds its price across the job, and hands the homeowner a warranty card that gets registered.

What usually goes on a builder order
- Shower enclosures: frameless, semi-frameless and barn door, so you can spec up or down by price point without changing suppliers
- Mirror packages: every vanity in the house, cut to template, polished or safe-seam edges
- Painted glass backsplash: color matched to cabinetry, cut around outlets before it reaches site
- Cabinet glass: around thirty textures for door inserts and pantry doors
- Table tops & shelving: built-ins, niches, protective tops
- Antique mirror: feature walls, bars, fireplace surrounds
- Frameless glass walls: sport courts, home gyms and wine rooms, plus glass stair and loft railings
Price points, so you can spec to the plan
| Tier | Enclosure | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | Frameless ½″ / ⅜″ | Owner's suite, spec homes at the top of the range |
| Mid | Semi-frameless ¼″ / ⅜″ | The volume choice: most of the look for less |
| Feature | Barn door slider | Tight baths, tub conversions, visible hardware |
Same supplier across all three, so a plan change doesn't mean a new vendor and a new measure crew.
Where glass lands in your sequence
Glass is near the end, which means it absorbs every delay upstream. Here's how we keep it from becoming your problem.
Book at rough-in
Get on the schedule early with approximate sizes. We hold the slot; the real measure comes later.
Measure when tile cures
Call the day tile finishes. We measure the finished opening, which is the only measure that produces glass that fits.
Fabrication window
Typically one to two weeks. You get a date, and if something slips on our end you hear it from us first.
Install & hand off
Half a day per unit in most cases. We leave the warranty registration paperwork for the closing packet.
One measure crew, one number, one phone call
- Trade pricing held across a job: not requoted every unit
- Repeat plans standardized: the second house is an order, not a project
- We self-perform install: nobody else's schedule between you and finished glass
- Warranty paperwork handled: so it reaches the buyer instead of a job-site bin
- We flag problems early: if a bench or curb is going to make the glass ugly, you hear it at measure, not at install

The practical questions
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. We set up trade accounts for builders and remodelers, with pricing held across a job or a plan rather than requoted unit by unit. Call the shop and ask for Mark or Zach.
When exactly should I schedule the measure?
After tile and surround are complete and cured, not before. Shower glass is cut to the finished opening including out-of-plumb walls, so an early measure produces glass that doesn't fit and a delay nobody wants. Book the slot at rough-in, call for the measure the day tile finishes.
Can you handle repeat plans and multi-unit?
Yes. For a repeated floor plan we standardize the enclosure package so each unit is ordered against a known spec and the field measure confirms rather than starts over. It takes the guesswork out of unit twelve.
Who registers the warranty?
The Agalite lifetime warranty on semi-frameless enclosures needs online registration within 30 days of purchase. We hand the paperwork over at install so it goes into the closing packet rather than getting lost on site. It's the single most commonly missed step in the whole process.
What if the homeowner wants to pick their own finish?
Fine by us. Send them to the shop or we'll bring samples to your design meeting. Eight standard finishes, plus extended selections through Portals Hardware and the CRL color chart if they want something unusual.
Do you do anything beyond the standard residential package?
Quite a bit. Back-painted glass walls, antique mirror features, custom textures, and bird-safe etched glass for houses with a window problem. If a client asks for something odd, ask us before you tell them no.
Let's get you set up.
Trade pricing, a measure crew that shows up, and one number to call when the schedule moves.
